What is your problem in this casino? What is hidden under the phrase: "they do not care about responsible gambling?" You wanted to self-exclude and it's not possible? Or was it something else?

My problem with this group, White Star BV, is the fact that I have informed them years ago that I have a severe mental illness that predisposes me to problem gambling and literally begged them to self-exclude me from all casinos - future and present. I have provided them official medical records. Yet, they require people to register in order to exclude, and this is only done by making a deposit. If you register and deposit as a problem gambler with illnesses would and then choose to self-exclude, they confiscate the money.


I have one case where you guys even deemed this okay and endorsed the casino to go ahead with these practices as seen with the rejected complaint.


I'm in the process of recovering the funds with my bank by force, as these fraudsters refuse to refund me even if I have all the reason to get justice.

Hello, I imagine that from your perspective it is only logical that once you inform a group about your conditions, the people behind it will ensure and manage by all means that you will never ever have a chance to play within the group again. Sadly, I can assure you it is not that simple and yes, you may be required to register and pass the KYC to be properly self-excluded. The system stores your data as a safety measure. When a player relapses, thanks to the previous verification, the casino may be able to spot that it is you. However, I perfectly understand what you dislike about registration deposits, although I guess both of us feel those are sites you should avoid in the first place. This practice may be acceptable for casual players, but requiring deposits from a player who is seeking registration just for achieving self-exclusion is clearly inappropriate. And I would love to see the details in the complaint.

If you accept a word of advice, please do not expect every casino or group or owner or label to automatically exclude you from future casinos. When it comes to presents, always demand a list of casinos you have just excluded within a group, because what you may consider a group may in reality operate independently or run on a different platform. Without such a list, at least backed up by screenshots, you have little proof in your hands, and we may get over and over rejected complaints.

I had a very long discussion on that subject with other Finnish players; not sure whether you saw that. My point is to help you understand how casinos process such requests to help you avoid similar surprises.

There is far more to that, I'm afraid. 🙁

I honestly hope you will never need to complain about failed self-exclusion again.

I happen to know that self-exclusion via Bank ID is easy. Nothing else is needed to verify the customer, and the transaction can be interrupted after positive identification. This is what is the standard in the industry to be frank. The reason is nothing but greed here. A deposit is not needed to identify and block the customers; merely trying to pay with strong ID that these casinos require is enough and not hard at all. I know ID security systems through work so what you are saying is actually false in this context and just defending shady casinos.

Thank you, yoyeli. I can assure you this is very far from industry standard worldwide; perhaps it works better in your country. Hence my previous response. Frankly, I see you have no intention of considering honest advice, so I leave you to your opinions, though those are very dangerous.

Sure, it might be, I'm talking locally, as White Star targets Finland almost exclusively. That's why it's hard to justify their approach.

I understand now that you were describing a local process. Ok, in that case, I would like to emphasize that my response was meant as advice that, on a general level, it is sadly far more complicated outside of Finnish license.

Thank you for this insight. I wish that such a model could be applied on a global scale, and I hope that local casinos will not repeat the mistakes you described.

Yet Parasiti is not licensed in Finland so I would not expect the casino to run in accordance with your local experiences. That is the difference I was pointing out. 🙏
